Renovation of a terraced House near lorence

The renovation of the terraced house, built in the 1930s, made up of two floors and including a small back-garden. The building was in a good  structural condition, but required a modernisation including the following  measures: renewal of water pipelines, replacement of the complete electrical system, modernisation of room layout,  conversion of spaces as well as interior design of all rooms.

The modification of the room layout, realised by breakthroughs of structural and non structural walls, into a modern open-space style provide a significantly more generous feeling of spaciousness as well as an increased daily comfort due to the simplified communication between kitchen, dining and living area.

The new arrangement of the living area towards the south-facing garden allows a direct access to the outdoor area and has vastly improved the natural lighting inside the room. Changing the position of the kitchen made it possible to obtain an extra room with garden view which could be used in a multifunctional way like an office, kid’s playroom, library with reading corner or hobby room.

The interior design was planned with the objective of modernising  the building, including the renewal of the bathrooms, floor covering, ceiling decoration, color concept, furniture, curtains and decorative items, following  the personal preferences of the owners.

As a result of all this measures the quality of the real estate was improved considerably.

This project was managed completely by our office, starting from the architectural and interior design passing to approval planning, static calculations, site direction, artistic direction until handing over the keys.
